These are some designs I did for fun, to practice, or as a gift. Some of them are fully 'krisp', while other ones are a bit more toned down and clean. If you haven't already noticed (which is impossible), I use lots of yellow, orange and brown shades in my style. And, I really love the grainy texture. Who doesn't?
This poster features my favorite Google font: Figtree. I got inspired by another designer who does poster challenges based on specific topics, and this one was about your favorite font. I figured the best way to show off such a clean and calm typeface was to make a poster that feels the same way: clean and calm.
I’ve been a little obsessed with oranges lately. There’s something about them being round and sunny that feels playful, energetic, and just makes me happy. I used bold letters for emphasis and filled the gaps with fun text to keep it engaging. The characters on the right spell 'orange' in Korean.
This one was more of a practice poster. I’d seen designers create cool mesh shapes and gradients using blending modes and effects, and wanted to give it a shot. I had no clear idea what to make, so I ended up mixing bit of chaos with some clean typography.
This whole poster is just a big joke. Since I draw birds a lot, I came up with the 'Sad Bird Club' for my Instagram followers and friends, then designed a poster to invite people to join in for Friday crying sessions. There’s no actual club, but I might still cry on Fridays.
I made this for a friend and colleague who runs her own purse brand called Pliš (which means 'velvet' in Serbian). Last summer, they released a version of the same purse but super tiny, and called it Mini Pliš.I was inspired to make a poster with a freehand illustration of the purse.
Before the 'Sad Bird Club' was a thing, I realized I enjoyed drawing when I felt sad, and making my characters look sad too. It helped me express how I felt, but also kind of pass some of the emotion onto them, haha. At the time, I felt stuck in a constant art block, but then I made this piece. It’s still one of my favorites.
If I tried to explain this whole inside joke, this paragraph would be way too long. In short: a friend with an orange cat is learning Indonesian, and 'orange cat' in Indonesian is 'kucingku oranye.' The cat, Toni, is Spanish.
